We've arrived!
Hello all!
Well, our new website is finally up and running! It’s been a long journey to get here, but we’ve arrived and are now able to talk to you directly. We’re very excited to be able to share with you the behind the scenes action that happens before, during, and after all of our projects. Different members of NPF staff will post updates periodically on the organization’s various projects to make sure that you’re included in everything we’re doing.
This is Jane here and I’m so excited to meet the delegates from our first Open World delegation of the fall season who arrive next week! A little bit about me: I’ve been with NPF since the beginning of the year and I work on several different projects, including the Open World programs and the Middle Eastern Dialogue programs. We had several Open World delegations in the spring, but this particular delegation will take place near the DC-metro area in Kensington, MD. It will be hosted by the Friends of Chernobyl Center, U.S. (FOCCUS) and will focus on the development of NGOs that work on Public Health issues. The delegates are coming all the way from Ukraine (guess I should start brushing up on my nonexistent Ukrainian!) and they all represent a variety of organizations that are centered on different public health issues. The really cool thing about this delegation is that all of the organizations represent one of the five regional centers with which FOCCUS already works, which we hope will help facilitate some really great partnerships by the end of the week.
Check back with us on September 21 to find out how our first meeting with the delegates went and read about what they’re most interested in seeing while here in the U.S.!
