The projects that fall under NPF's Eyewitness to Peace Program area promote and inspire mutual understanding in conflict and post-conflict regions. The projects bring both experts and responsible citizens to witness, first-hand, the realities of conflict and also the creative grass-roots models and approaches being used to pursue conflict reolution. Participants travel, often for the first time, to conflict-prone and post conflict regions, an experience that provides a life-changing experience to all who take part. Our projects inspire a desire to take action and to work to resolve these conflicts. Regardless of prior awareness, the projects help bring new insights and motivate participants to engage in citizen action in their home communities.
